Cable Proces Intershıp

During the internship, I gained valuable observations and experiences, focusing especially on the stages of production and quality control. In the early days, I was informed about occupational health and safety and familiarized myself with the company’s general structure and production processes. On the production line, I witnessed how copper and aluminum wires were thinned into various cross-sections and the details of the twisting processes.

In particular, I closely observed the process in which wires of different cross-sections were reduced to the desired thickness and then twisted in various combinations in the twisting machines to complete production. The twisting of wires with different cross-sections was carried out by wrapping them around the core wire in specific arrangements.

In the quality control laboratory, the resistance of the wires from the production line was measured to ensure they met the required standards. If the resistance values of the wires were within the specified ranges, samples were taken from the wires and their weights were measured. In some cases, such as with a 400 mm² aluminum wire, if the weight deviated from the desired values, the production process was restarted, and the issue was resolved. This experience highlighted the critical role of quality control in production and emphasized the importance of continuously monitoring the accuracy of production processes.

Overall, the experiences I gained in the production line and quality control stages during this internship helped me understand the complexity and detail of production processes. By observing both the production and quality control operations, I closely experienced how error detection and process improvement impact product quality.
